MUSICIAN, POET, MIX ENGINEER, ELECTRICIAN, WORKING CLASS HERO

Nadeem Gibran Salaam is a Mix Engineer, Acoustician, & Musician with multi-dimensional Electrical & Sound knowledge developed by his 20 years of experience in sound and film. He he can be found running live front of house sound all over NYC weekly, repairing/installing nightclub audio systems, or laboring over his own musical products made right out of his garage.

His riotous Punk Rocker and then Zen seeking Buddhist lifestyle's genesis was forged by cutting his teeth on the Lower East Side. Nadeem is a native New Yorker hailing from Brooklyn. As an entrepreneur, and a small business owner, his working-class background, tumultuous life experience, and success outside of the Ivy League Corporate-PC Elite is a breath of fresh air in a time of homogeneity and mass information lacking everyday wisdom. Born in Parkslope Brooklyn raised on Long Island, the son of an MTA Train Conductor, Nadeem imparts Working Class lessons on life forged from his Public Library self-education in psychology and philosophy and brief career in Aviation working Ground Ops at JFK. His pursuit of healing childhood trauma and class violence drove him to read the greats, write books, tour nationally with various bands, and launch a music luthier business.

As a published author, he is on a mission to revive the fire of independent thought and further the vision of the self-actualized man, not through neutralizing him but invigorating the depth of his soul and role as head of the family and careful steward of his ship. He has worked on an upcoming film about the band Metallica, mixes live orchestras and choirs weekly, has published two books and 7 albums, and owns his own business, a radio guitar amp manufacturer in stores all over Brooklyn and Long Island.

Join the Musician, Author, and Engineer on a mission to build the soul and mind of his fellow Americans.

METALLICA DOCUMENTARY
Production Assistant

"An upcoming documentary highlights the band Metallica who have always been masters of corpulent, groove-heavy riffs and labyrinthine song structures, but now, with more than 40 years of experience, they play with more purpose than in their speed-demon days."

a brand new article about artificial intelligence and returning to God..

"We must be free in this sense, as we must remove ourselves from the modern schism so that we may become shepherds of this earth and caretakers of life, much like ancient man was—a shamanistic consciousness that once interrelated the Spirit of all life."

17 years ago I walked into the hallowed doors of CBGB, grabbed my guitar, and began a music career on the Lower East Side. While I've been blessed that my projects have had incredible success, not all of them have survived, but the memories do. Thanks to Bands Do BK, some of my music history is offically in print and on shelves forever. From living in a van on tour, opening for Nine Days,... In Bands do BK, Sam Sumpter explores Brooklyn from the unique perspective of the bands who live it and love it. Equal parts oral history, guidebook, and music-fan memoir, Sumpter shares behind-the-scenes stories, sound bites, and recommendations on places to visit from hundreds of featured interviewed bands—a hot slice of New York City indie chronicling the people and places that define it.                                        READ THE FULL PRESS RELEASE

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

LEIGH STEIN

"Nadeem is a modern prophet, tackling issues of identity, masculinity, and legacy with a style that alternates between the epigrammatic quality of Rumi and the dark heart of Poe."

MY MUSIC

RETURN TO NATURE (ACOUSTICS)

Lowe’s new song, “They Came from Stardust,” is frenetic. It swirls in the air just above us, always moving in one direction and then the other. It’s a song about redemption."—KAJAL MAGAZINE

"Thaddeus Lowe, a new sufi rock project, are playing their first ever official gig in support of their brand new album, Return To Nature. Similar to Humeysha, Thaddeus Lowe channels his spirituality in his music, describing the record as “the seat of the soul and exploration into the DNA of our psycho-spirituality as a means of resistance to reptilian rule.”—BUSHWICK DAILY
